Though snow cover smothers the mountains, Lucero is too warm to receive anything but the occasional drizzle of winter rain. The Sub-tropical to Oceanic climate provides plants with enough warmth to grow wildly. The air is pleasantly cool, but not cold.

Rosemary bushes perfume the air with their exquisite spicy fragrance, though their dappled greenery is the only vegetation for miles. Though the snow falls more regularly, it is lighter and more powdered than the higher mountains. Creeks and ravines still gurgle under the morning sunshine.

The sun causes the snow to reflect its light, and the days are brighter and shorter.
